A quick post today. Our cooperative has been working on assistive technology options that fit into a universal design for learning approach. Our assistive technology consultant, Andrea Wichers, has been instrumental in helping get momentum in the district. Her work with UDL and accessible literacy tools has contributed to a huge change in the amount of time students with disabilities spend with their peers in grade-level instruction.
This work was learned of by Lori Lord Nelson, and she reached out to us for her podcast, UDL in 15 Minutes. Our episode was released this week. Check it out here.
